In order to be placed on the waitlist, you will need to schedule and have a virtual tour via Zoom or an in-person tour with our enrollment coordinator. After your tour, you let us know if you would like to be added to our waitlist.
All children are required to receive and be up-to-date with all immunizations as well as an annual flu shot before starting at Honeydew.
Immediately after having the virtual tour, you will receive an email with the rates and an enrollment reservation form. We require a $1000 deposit which is refundable with a 2 months notice of when you are leaving the program as well as a non-refundable $300 registration fee. We need the deposit, registration fee and a filled out enrollment reservation form in order to hold the available spot

ASQ (Ages and Stages Questionnaire): This screening tool is designed for children from birth to age 6 and helps parents identify their child's strengths and areas where they might need extra support. It guides parents in planning next steps for learning, intervention, and monitoring, highlighting the importance of early screening.
TSG (Teaching Strategies Gold): This assessment system uses continuous observation and performance tasks to evaluate children's development and learning from birth through kindergarten. At Honeydew, we implement the Creative Curriculum, customized specifically for our young learners. By observing each child's interests and developmental needs, we design weekly activities that are both engaging and relevant. Additionally, our approach incorporates the Pyramid Model for supporting social emotional competence in infants and young children, which is integrated into our daily interactions and care. We also develop individualized plans to address each child's development, learning style, and emotional requirements.
Children have a 2-hour rest period on cots with fitted sheets. Blankets are optional. We dim the lights and play lullaby music to help signal rest time. Teachers may sit with the children or gently rub their backs, and soft plush toys are welcome.Children who don't want to nap are encouraged to have rest time on their cots.
At Honeydew, children wear a Honeydew vest during outings for visibility and safety. We start with strollers for younger children, transitioning to walking with a rope as they approach age 2. Our activities include community walks and time at the playground or field. Teachers carry an emergency bag containing a first aid kit and essential items for the children.
Before transitioning to a new Honeydew classroom, you will have a Zoom meeting with your child’s current and future teachers to discuss readiness and goals. During the week before the transition, your child will spend a few hours each day in the new classroom with a current teacher accompanying them. Parents will continue to drop off and pick up at the original classroom until the child's first full day in the new classroom.
We do not offer a sibling discount, but the registration fee is waived for a second child.
A family will receive $100 off their tuition when a new family has registered.
