OUR COMMUNITY AND GIVING

At Honeydew Drop, we believe that community care is at the heart of early education. Since 1999, we’ve partnered with local organizations, families, and small businesses across Brooklyn to support children’s growth and strengthen the neighborhoods we call home.

Local Partnerships

FOOD DRIVE

We partner with CHIPS a longstanding Park Slope coalition dedicated to helping the homeless. Donating food to CHIPS is crucial because it addresses food insecurity, ensuring families and children receive nutritious meals essential for their health and development. This support complements the healthcare services provided, strengthens community ties, and promotes healthy eating habits. Your contributions are vital for the overall well-being of children and families in need.

TOY DRIVE

Donating to Toys for Hospitalized Children is impactful because it provides emotional support, therapeutic benefits, and a sense of normalcy for kids undergoing medical treatment. Our contributions help create a caring community and directly support children in need, fostering hope and joy during challenging times.

CHURCH AVE STREET FAIR

The Church Avenue Street Fair is an exciting community event in Brooklyn designed to bring residents together for a day of fun and engagement. Attendees can enjoy a variety of vendors, delicious food stalls, live music, and activities for children. It’s a wonderful opportunity to connect with local organizations and support small businesses while soaking in the vibrant community atmosphere.

Parent Resources

Supporting families is central to our mission! We partner with organizations like Reimagine Parenting to help parents navigate early childhood with confidence and care.

Honeydew Drop knows that supporting parents is just as important as nurturing children. Our Parent Workshops offer caregivers tools and strategies to better understand their child’s emotional, social, and developmental needs. Led by early childhood professionals, these sessions create space for learning, reflection, and connection — helping families grow together both at home and in our classrooms.
